Fukuiraptor means 'thief of Fukui' and lived in the Early Cretaceous era in what is now Japan and possibly Australia.
It was a theropod or carnivorous dinosaur believed to belong to the Megoraptoran clan of dinosaurs, although it has also been said to be related to allosaurs or tyrannosaurs (The jury is still out!).
When first discovered it was thought that the large hand claws were from the feet and so it was given the raptor name which is misleading.
