• The Ceratosaurus seems to have been made up of parts that did a lot for style, but didn't quite cut it when it came to function.

There is a row of bony plates that run down its spine that gives it serious character but wasn't good enough to provide protection; and it also had a thin nasal horn that could neither be used for offense of defence because it was deemed to be on the fragile side.

• One feature that seemed to work though, was its scarily long teeth. The Ceratosaurus' upper teeth were so long that when its maw was closed shut, the teeth actually extended all the way past its lower jaw!
