Saltriovenator was found in Northern Italy in the Early Jurassic period and lived in an ancient beach environment.
It was an ancestor of Ceratosaurus and is only the third Italian dinosaur found and the second carnivore.
It is believed to have grown up to 8m long and is the largest known carnivore of the early Jurassic era.
